Butter (for cake): 2 tbsp

Milk: 190 ml
Flour: 1 ⅓ cups
Baking powder: 2 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. To make the syrup: In a small saucepan, heat the water, brown sugar, maple syrup, and melted butter. Set aside.
3. In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
4. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the melted butter.
5. Gradually add the contents of the first bowl into the second bowl, alternating with the milk. Mix until the batter is smooth and homogeneous.
6. Transfer the batter into a baking dish and pour the syrup mixture over the batter.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about one hour.
